New Therapy Found for Lung and Skin Cancer, Based on Suicide Gene E

Scientists have found a new treatment for Lung Cancer the University of Granada. The new treatment involves the use of a suicide gene called Gene E. This gene can actually kill cancerous cells. The treatment can be used in vitro and also in vivo through the use of experimental animals. Further research is obviously required, but it could be used for new treatments in this type of pathology.

I feel like this is a huge step forward in the world of cancer treatment. If we continue reasearching and experimenting with Gene E, I believe we could get a lot closer to finding the cure for Cancer. This definitely affects me because I'm close to a few Cancer survivors and Cancer patients. One of those patients is a little 6 year old boy who was dianosed with a rare childhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma about 2 years ago. This article definitely brings hope to me for that little boy.
