This article is about is legal marijuana ok to give to patients with MS. There are 14 states that legaliza pot and now Washington DC. The reason is for MS and sclerosis. Some reacherch says that pot helps with muscle spasticity (stiffness or tightness). The American Cancer Society says using or "smoking" marijuana brings a higher risk for lung cancer. The pain that occures with MS can be very painfull, what the marijuana does is release the pain, but the side effects of the "pot" can cause serious side effects. So you have to weigh out your pros. and cons.
My opinion is that marijuana is illegal for a reason. I think that if pot getting legazlized for medical reason, i have no dought that it will definatly get taken advantage of. I also think that people will pretend to be sick with MS or some other sickness and get the pot just to sell on the streets for a "side job". Also pot is an addicting drug and a doctor could be responsible for giving a addicted person pot and feeding their addiction. My opinion is that pot is also a gateway drug to other drugs that are very more serious like crack and cocain. To me there are way worse side effects then just taking some adville to take the edge off of your pain.
