This year if you have a kid with asthma, you should watch out and take procautions when they are heading back to school this year. School can trigger a childs asthma symptoms because of the time of year the allergies can act up. Also being confind in a class room and being close to other children that carry germs and sicknesses. The U.S. Department of Education said that the number one cause of absenses in school id because of asthma. More than 14,000 students have missed days because of asthma. Also The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America estimates, that "the illness sends more children to the hospital than any other childhood disease."
I think that asthma is kinda swept under the rug a little bit. I dont think that people take asthma serioulsy enough. I have asthma and when i was younger i had to take brething treatments every hour to control my asthma. asthma is not a fun thing to deal with and i think that parent should do more reserch on asthma if their child has this condition. Parents need to take percautions sending their chilren back to school with asthma, not only back to school but every day. Parents need to be prepaired at every minute just in case their child has an attack. Also children that has asthma needs to have a rescue inhaler at school incase of emergencies.
