Aol new has documented that the government know about this and has refused to but out a warning about this deadly insulation.
i think that the government is being really selfish also i think that in a way that the government are being murders. its the same as being a partner in a murder crim. they know but they dont say anything its the same as a murders friend knowing whats going on but not saying anything i think that this should be handeled the same way the murders friend would be just as guilty as they are so the givernment should be treated the same way.

"Fragile" progressin halting AIDS epidemic
The number of of new HIV infections and AIDS related deaths has declined very much, over the past year . since AIDS and HIVS has been found , this is the first time researchers has been slowed down or even halted. The UNAIDS annual report found a nearly 20 percent decrease in new HIV infections globally and an almost 20 percent decline in deaths among those infected with HIV from 2004 to 2009. The UNAIDS annual report stated that while progress in the fight against AIDS has been made thanks to an increase in access to life-saving drugs, treatments are still being denied to 10 million people infected with the disease around the world, particularly children and members of marginalized communities. The gains are "real but still fragile," the report said. Researchers noted that those gains depend on resources that have been hard to come by since the global recession began.
I think that this is very good that AID statics are declining. i think this has a lot to do with the various "get tested" commercial , and HIV and AIDS awareness. i think its very good, the government finally made a good impact on something.

Why so many antibodies fail to protect against HIV
Scientist have been studying that people infected with HIV/AIDS produce the antibodies in the pathogen . Antibodies that turn out to be ineffective in blocking infection need to have in place in order for them to mount an effective defense. Antibodies called 2F5 and 4E10 – target a specific part of the outer coating of the virus. Antibodies that are able to latch on the virus reveals parts of the structure .
This article is showing that scientist are studying on why antibodies don't protect against the virus AIDS/HIV. HIV is a very hard sickness that cant beat the protection cells in your body and when you are sick you can't be good again. Antibodies can not fight against a virus . Doctors want to find the out why this is happening.Friday, November 19, 2010

Obesity Weighs On The Wealthy In Poor Countries
This article is about the obesity epidemic that has taken over in many developing countries. The poor people with in the same border cant even gain alot of weight. In th U.S. there is a higher obesity trend and heavier trend on the poor people . They found out that about a quarter of the women were over weight. The Subramanian and his colleagues had looked up some of the trends in the weights and more than half a million women across the 54 developing between 1994-2008.After they did there new study they found out that a quarter of the women were over weight .
My opinion of this article is that people just need to watch what they eat and see how many calories are in the different types of food that they eat.You also should exercise and keep your weight down and dont eat alot of sugary foods and pastas. So when you go to the doctors thats what they might tell you when they ask what kind of foods do you eat.

Tom Mulholland travels all over the United States with dead people. Why? Because he is a part of a moving exhibit that shows the human anatomy, inside and out. All together there are 13 bodies in the collection, including single organs and slices of the human body flattened in glass by the process called plastification. This allows you to take a look at what is inside the different layers of our bodies. Mulholland said, "Its basically an anatomy class in 3D." The different cadavers are positioned in different ways, one doing a windmill kick into a soccer ball.
I think this is a great opportunity to study the human form and organs to get a better understanding of how intracate we actually are. Also, this would be a great exhibit to take a feild trip to in highschool, or just come and look if youre majoring in nursing or a job in the medical field in collage. I think its cool how they take these cadavers and position them in action poses, not just the body standing upright.

In the recent years, it has been shown that 1 in every 10 children are diagnosed with ADHD some point in their lives. The jumps in this were mainly seen in kids between 15 and 17, in Hispanic or multiracial children. The rise in Hispanic children may result in better access to care, and will be taken with more acceptance in the culture. There is medicine that can be taken, and currently two thirds of the children with it take the medicine to help control they way they act.
My opinion on this article, is that their are many kids in the world who have ADHD, and since there is a way to help calm it down. that there is no reason to over react.

I think that they should do away with four lokos for the safety of the students who drink. There has been stories that students have been dying from one loko. If that's happening then the government should take them away. They are said to have five beers and three coffees in them. Two of them is getting you drunk and making you very hyper and I think those two in combination is not a very good idea.

my artical this wekk is about "7 weight loss tips from the biggest loser". everybody knows that the winter time and the holidays such as thaks giving make you want to eat 3 times you rbody weight. But this holiday the way you could stop this extra weight gain that you can get rid of my the summer time is find a sport or an exersize hobby that interst you and get active and work off and burn those calories that you put on. Also if you gain a few pounds dont get sad and just give up just giver your self motivation and hit the gym and extra few hours. And when you have a craving for something unhealthy then eat it just eat small anounts. track how much you eat every meal and keep a measuring cup with you for when you want a snack. age does ot matter over weight is over weight, loose it. set reasonable goals for your self and then make it a big deal whenyou reach them. make working out a habbit make it something you do even when your not thinking about it.
there are many ways you can oose weight stop making accuses, yeah its hard, but so is everything else in life you just do it and be patient and when you concor being over weigt then be proud.

These are what our tax dollars need to be spent on and this really gives up for humanity. If we can solve heart failure, who knows what else we can solve!

For a Healthier Middle-Aged Heart, Try Less Salt as a Teen
In the US, we consume way too much salt. As I'm sure you may know, too much salt in your daily diet can lead to a heart attack, high blood pressure, and even a stroke. To prevent disease in the future, teens should begin cutting some salt from their diet now. Researchers discovered that if teens cut their daily salt intake by 3 grams, the number of them and their peers who got Cardiovascular Disease by the age of 50 would decrease by 100,000. If adults cut their salt intake by 3 grams, it would save 44,000-92,000 lives per year.
I never really consider salt intake when I eat. This article encouraged me to consider it, and do something about the aount of salt I eat. I think that if we got schools, restaurants, and even food companies to cut the amount of salt they used in their food, it could really help us. It's amazing that just cutting daily salt intake by 1/2 of a teaspoon could save 100,000 lives. If we want heart prolems to cease, we need to do something about how much salt we are eating.

Northwestern Medicine study say that dopamine releasing neurons in a part of the brain called the substantia nigra it requires a lot of energy, it creates stress that could have the neurons suffure from premature death. The death of neurons can cause Parkinsons Disease . Its common for people to lose dopamine releasing neurons with age. Causes of Parkinsons disease doesnt have a known genetic link , its the second most common neurodegenerative disease.
I think they should do more research on this , because this could be the cause of Parkinsons disease.

ADHD On The Rise
According to recent government figures, the amount of children affected by ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) has grown by about 1 million the past few years. A survey taken in 2007 showed that about 1 in 10 children have been diagnosed with ADHD at some point in their lives. This statistic is very different from the statistic from 2003, showing that 1 in 13 children have been diagnosed with ADHD at some point in their lives. This increase could either be from an increase in the disorder, or more lenient diagnostic procedures. 2/3 of this children affected by ADHD were taking medication to treat it.
I think that the reason there is an "increase" in the amount of children affected with ADHD is due to some changes in the way ADHD is diagnosed. I can't think of any reason this disorder would increase over time, except more leniant diagnostics. This rise in childre diagnosed with ADHD could also affect doctors. Doctors should prepare to treat about 1 million more children nationwide who have ADHD. This could result in overworked doctors.

Tobacco-Based Vaccines Could Pwn Future Pandemics
(Nov. 4) -- Pandemics and bio-terror threats might one day be a health hazard of the past. A massive undertaking by the U.S. military is rapidly transforming vaccine production, yielding fast-tracked approaches to wipe out new illnesses before they spread. The military's been after better bio-threat prevention methods since 2005, but it was only last year that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) launched its Blue Angel program to come up with quicker responses to emerging flu viruses. H1N1 (the virus originally referred to by the media as "swine flu") was the catalyst for the initiative, which has led to $100 million in new research and development investments by the Pentagon agency."We've used H1 as an example, a proof of concept," Col. (Dr.) Alan Magill, a DARPA program manager, told American Forces Press Service, noting that H1N1 wasn't as lethal as initially feared. "We hope these technologies that are established will move on to address other issues besides influenza."Tobacco-based vaccine production is the most exciting discovery to emerge from the program. Already, four military-funded facilities are producing mass quantities of H1N1 vaccines using tobacco plants as vehicles to grow the requisite proteins. The plants are resilient and fast-growing, meaning that millions of doses can be produced in four weeks, rather than the six months that's required using existing production models.
A team at Texas A&M will develop vaccines in a custom-built, 21-acre compound, which includes a 145,000-square-foot "biotherapeutic production facility" that uses sterile, mobile pods to grow the plants. And one company, iBio Inc., has already launched the first clinical trial of its tobacco-based H1N1 vaccine."The final trial will go on for six months, because we have to do safety monitoring," Magill said. "But we'll know whether the technology worked probably about the end of January."
So far, DARPA's tobacco-based endeavor is on track to transform pandemic response -- and create an entirely new industry for the novel approach to vaccine production. But the agency's not done yet: Earlier this year, it doled out $5.3 million to a team at Arizona State University, for an "insta-vaccine" initiative that could yield new vaccines for emerging threats within seven days of detection. There's even the possibility of detecting pathogens before they appear in the first place. DARPA's "Prophecy" program, launched last year, would accurately anticipate "the rate, direction and phenotype of viral mutations" -- giving health agencies worldwide a valuable head start.
I personally think the government is contradicting it's self. Before i read this article, it was an article explaining how the government is starting to make more graphic ads about cigarrette smoking and lung cancer. Now there's a cure for H1N1 is tobacco based. Im not saying it will or won't work,l but how is that possible if tobacco is so bad for your body. I just feel the govenment should do a lot more accurate procedures and test before releasing this vaccine to the public.

Depression is a illness, that can cause people to feel sad, grief, and to lose interest in their everyday activities, this condition can also make you have little energy, and make you wanna withdraw yourself from others. This can cause people to become embarrassed or ashamed, but when you realize something is going on, there is a need to seek treatment, because it could eventually lead to depression. Depression is caused by a personal weakness, that is where neurotransmitters are out f balance. Depression is not a disease.
My opinion on this article is that it's sad that people live with this condition, and sometimes take their lives. Everyone deserves to be happy, even if you have to take a medication to make you that way, its not something that should make anyone feel lower about themselves. I believe that teenagers would be main people that you would see with depression, due to the things, and peer pressure that they have to face everyday.

- The doctors and radiologists are now able to find the new abilities of looking into the brain further than before. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a serious of different diffusions. The images would turn the parts of the brain that are affected different colors. This method gives an overveiw of what the brain looks like. Many radiologist have improved this imaging software.
- I have concluded that the new DTI software would end up being the new way to look at anyones spinal features. If doctors used this method more they would find brain disfunctions a lot sooner than usual. This research might motovate more software being used on other organs, besides the brain.

In my opinion this article was very long and boring. It was full of information but the experiment itself was proably not the most exciting experiment performed. The B- vitamin is a very common vitamin in todays society. With todays technology and tax money, we can proably find an alternative vitamin that has the same results as the B- vitamin or we can find away to prevent it from causing vascular cognitive impairement. We aren't even sure if this vitamin does this, but we can never be too careful.

Resarchers at the University of Utah created new iPhone applications. They were developed to help scientists, students, doctors and patients study the human body. The Apps also help evaluate medical problems and analyze three dimensional images. The apps . display, 3D images of medical CT and MRI scans, and a wide range of scientific images, they show everything from insects to molecules to engines.
I think this is a good thing that they came up with this. This is helpful for students that may be on the go and its quick to access. Students spend lots of time on phones and stuff now , this is a way to interact modern technology with learning. They have apps for everything else may as well have learning ones too. .More apps should be made for studying and learning.

Beets most likely is not the only food that u may use to help the brains heath other food such as spinach, celery and other leafy greens are very nitrate and can circulate through the body. and wind up in the salivary glands.
All the volunteers14 in total at the ages of 70 were prescribed the diet that included 16 ounces of beet juice and some days they ate a diet that was high in nitrates while the others ate low-nitrate diets,in it showed that the ones with the higher nitrate had better brain heath than the ones who didn't.

Why are men more susceptible to alcoholism?
This article is about alcohol is the most abused substance men are up to twice as likely to develop alcoholism than women. Alcohol is a pleasurable effect. The men have greater dopamine release than women. The increase was found in the ventral striatum, which is an area in the brain strongly associated with pleasure, reinforcement and addiction formation. In men, the dopamine increased is released . This has a stronger association with positive effects. What I think about this article is that the alcohol has more affect on the men than the woman. Also , that it men abuse the alchohal more because , of something that trigger in their brain . but , scientist cant really determine on who abuses the alcohol more.

If you have been to an up to date airport latley in the United States, you are probably familiar with devices called Full-Body scanners. There are currently 450 of these machines in our country as of now, deployed by The Transportation Security Administration. Marc Rotenburg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, said this Tuesday: “The suspicionless search of all airport travelers in this most invasive way violates the reasonableness standard contained in the Fourth Amendment." He suspects that the government are using these scanners to take pictures of the naked human body.
I think that these scanners are necessary in United States airports today. My cousins passed away on September 11, and I believe if we would have had this kind of technology back then that the tragedy that happened to families, including mine, would not have happened. My opinion on Rotenburg's comment is that he has become overly paranoid about the government. I believe that the full-body scanners are used for security purposes only. If they are allowed to give full-body cavity searches, what is so wrong about letting them scan your body?

It doesn't surprise me that the pills didn't work against Alzheimer's. Now and days, the government will just put any kind of medicines or "cures" out , just because they think it causes other illness , it will cure all - which isn't true at all. I think they should do more research and make sure that the cureness will actually cure the illness before releasing it to the public.
